The Nebraska women’s basketball team returns to Big Ten Conference road action Thursday when the Huskers take on No. 20 Maryland in College Park. Tip-off between the Huskers (13-3, 3-2 Big Ten) and the Terrapins (12-4, 3-2 Big Ten) is set for 7 p.m. (CT) in a game that will impact the top tier of the Big Ten standings, as both teams enter the contest in a tie for fifth in the conference race at 3-2. Tonight’s game will be broadcast on Big Dog Country, 98.9 FM and 1340 AM with the Husker Sports Network.
The No. 10 Nebraska women’s gymnastics team returns to the Bob Devaney Sports Center for its home opener against the Penn State Nittany Lions on Thursday, Jan. 16., at 6 PM.
Swim & Dive
The Nebraska swimming and diving team opens 2020 at home at it hosts Omaha on Saturday, Jan. 18 at the Devaney Natatorium. The dual meet between the Huskers and Mavs will begin at 11 a.m.
Nebraska holds a 22-0 all-time series lead over Omaha. The last meeting between the two programs was two years ago when the Huskers won, 189-103.
The Huskers have won both their home duals this season and head into Saturday’s dual with a 3-1 record. NU is coming off a successful winter period that included a fourth-place finish at the Mizzou Invite and several standout individual performances at the U.S. Open and the Minneapolis Diving Invitational.
Saturday is Omaha’s sixth dual competition of the season. The Mavs have accrued a 2-3 overall record, and face South Dakota on Friday before heading to Lincoln.
