Nebraska senior Vasanti Shinde is ranked as the No. 103 women’s tennis singles player in the country, according to today’s updated ITA Women’s Tennis rankings. ITA does bi-weekly rankings for teams and both singles and doubles play. ITA ranks the top 125 singles players in the country and top 60 doubles pairs.
Shinde is 52-43 in her career as a singles player at NU. This year, Shinde is 5-3 in singles play and 5-0 when she plays at the No. 2 singles spot in the lineup. She’s won her past four matches after the starting the season 1-3.
The Huskers are back in action on Saturday, Feb. 23 in a doubleheader against Colorado State (10 a.m.) and North Dakota (2:30 p.m.).
