High School Winter Sports: Swim, Wrestling & Basketball Underway

Swim

Fremont competed in a swim dual at Norfolk yesterday.  The loan win for the tigers came from Emma Walz in the 500 free where Walz just missed the state automatic cut, finishing in 5:33.29.  Lauren Gifford added another state secondary cut to her list in the 200 IM at 2:26.00.

Wrestling

In high school wrestling last night, Fremont dualed Ralston and defeated the Rams, 53-11.  The Tigers won 12 of the 14 bouts recording five falls in the dual.

Basketball

In high school basketball last night, Fremont lost at Omaha Skutt Catholic 72-39.  Austin Ash led the Skyhawks with 22 points and six made three-point shots.  Jackson Gordon added 12 and Jake Kudron had 11.  Fremont was led by Jacob Heineman with 12 points.  Skutt is 2-0 and will host Omaha Central, Friday.  Fremont is 0-3 and plays at Grand Island, Friday.
