In high school volleyball, Tuesday night, the Archbishop Bergan Knights hosted the Lincoln Christian Crusaders at Gary D. Schmidt Gymnasium. Bergan won the match three games to none, 25-22, 25-22, 25-19. Lexie Langley led the Knights with 11 kills and two ace serves. Sophomore Lauren Baker had eight kills and one block. Baker said she benefited from the accurate passing of senior setter, Allison Dieckmann:
Alexis Johnson led all players for Lincoln Christian with 13 kills and one ace serve. Lincoln Christian is now 2-2 on the year and will host Grand Island Central Catholic and Hastings St. Cecilia in a triangular, tomorrow.
The Knights are 2-0 and play in the Northeast Nebraska Classic, this weekend, hosted by Wisner-Pilger and Pender:
Also last night, the Fremont Tigers traveled to Lincoln to take on Lincoln Northeast and the Rockets. Lincoln Northeast defeated Fremont three games to one, 15-25, 25-18, 25-23, 27-25. The Tigers are 0-1 on the season and host Lincoln North Star, tomorrow night.
