High School Basketball: Bergan Boys and Fremont Girls Advance

In high school basketball last night:

The Archbishop Bergan boys defeated the Humphrey Lindsay Holy Family Bulldogs, 56-54.  Thunder Myers hit a three pointer with 13 seconds left which proved to be the game winner.  Bergan advances to the District Finals, tomorrow.

The Fremont High girls basketball team defeated Bellevue West in the A-6 District Semifinals last night at Al Bahe Gymnasium, 80-59.  Taylor McCabe scored 28 points.  Tessa Chicoine had 13, Emma Shepard had 12.  Bellevue West got 16 from Siarra Roberts, 13 from Akili Felici, 11 from Emma Chrisman and 10 from Taryn Wharton.  Bellevue West ends the year, 8-15.  Fremont at 18-7 plays at Papillion LaVista at 5:30, today in the District Championship, versus the Monarchs.  The game will be broadcast on Mix 105.5, FM.
