Fremont Tigers Take 1st in Track, Place 17th in Golf in Thursday Competitions

The Fremont High boys and girls track teams competed at the Omaha North Invite yesterday.  The Tiger boys were first with 115 points.  Kearney was second at 114.  In the girls competition, Fremont was third with 49 points.  Kearney was first with 209.66 points.

For the Tiger boys, Lucas Arps won the 400 in 50.38.  Wes Ferguson won the 1600 in 4:23.73.  Chase Cate won the 3200 in 9:42.63.  The Tiger 4×400 relay of Caelin Reeh, Wes Ferguson, Jose Gonzalez and Lucas Arps was first in 3:24.34.  The Fremont 4×800 relay of Matthew Klein, CJ Martinez, Manny Harmon and Ben Schulz was first in 8:15.07.  Bergan Hofer won the shot put at 53’ 2”.  Ross McMahon won the high jump at 6’2”.  Jake Sellon won the pole vault at 15’ 6”.  For the Tiger girls, Myia Johnson won the 800 in 2:24.98.

Golf

The Fremont High boys golf team finished 17th in the 23-team Capital City Invite at Yankee Hill Country Club, yesterday.  Fremont shot a 366.  Lincoln Southwest won the meet with a 314.  Hayden Pudenz of Papillion LaVista South was the meet medalist with a 73.  For Fremont, Jack Kranz shot an 88.  Riley Harms shot a 90.  Cal Miller had a 91.  Max Brown shot a 97 and Kenan Brodd shot 111.
