Creighton Baseball’s quartet of players selected in the 2018 Major League Baseball Draft (Clark Brinkman, Michael Emodi, Ryan Tapani and Jacob Voss) each have agreed to terms with their respective teams and have started play this summer.
Brinkman has appeared in four games for the Gulf Coast League Tigers (Detroit Tigers), playing his first contest on June 18. Clark opened his pro career 5-of-13 (.385) with six walks and five RBI.
Emodi’s career began in Arizona League on June 20, playing for the Arizona Royals (Kansas City Royals). In his first two appearances Mike is 0-for-5 with two runs scored and an RBI.
Tapani made his pro debut with the Auburn Doubledays (Washington Nationals) on June 20, allowing two runs on three hits in an inning of relief.
Finally Voss tossed two innings in his debut with the Arizona Angels (Los Angeles Angels) on June 22. Voss recorded three strikeouts and allowed just one hit as he picked up the victory.
