FREMONT, Neb. – Midland University’s dance team hosted Kansas Wesleyan University and Morningside College for a triangular on Wednesday night. The Warriors earned the top score with an 84.25 as they performed in front of judges for the final time before the conference championships.
Morningside posted a score of 79.25 while Kansas Wesleyan had a mark of 56.50 for their routines.
“Last night’s win was a true testament of the hard work and dedication this team has,” dance coach Katie Speicher commented. “They took the floor with confidence and passion. I am so proud of their performance. This is the perfect momentum to get us ready for the GPAC Championship.”
This Saturday, Midland will compete in the second annual Great Plains Athletic Conference Cheer and Dance Championship in Hastings, Nebraska. The competition begins at 12:00 p.m. with the Midland dance team is scheduled to perform at 2:06 p.m.
