Creighton coach Greg McDermott says every win in a tough BIG EAST race is huge and the Bluejays sit in third place with an 8-4 record heading into Saturday’s game against fifth ranked Xavier. Creighton used a late three pointer by Marcus Foster to escape with a 76-75 win at DePaul on Wednesday night, the same night that St. John’s won its first league game by stunning top ranked Villanova.

Creighton coach Greg McDermott. Saturday’s game begins a stretch in which five of the next six games will be played at the CenturyLink Center where the Jays are 13-0 this season.

Xavier is 10-2 in the BIG EAST after a 98-93 win at Butler on Tuesday night. The Musketeers are 22-3 overall.
