Bergan Golfers Brave the Cold at Pines Country Club

It was a chilly start for the Fremont Bergan boys golf team on Wednesday at the Douglas County West Invitational. The Knights were one of 16 teams to brave chilly conditions at The Pines Country Club. Bergan, with a lineup comprised mainly of newcomers, finished 15th with a 470.

Bennington, led by meet medalist Jaxon Prososki, won the team title with a 345. Gretna was the runner-up with a 351.

Preston Tracy led the Knights with a 108. Jack Wilmes shot a 118 while AJ Walter had a 119. Bryce Fernau (125) and Thunder Myders (126) also competed.

Bergan will compete Tuesday at the Ashland-Greenwood Invitational.
