The Archbishop Bergan track and field teams competed in the Tekamah-Herman Invite, in Oakland, yesterday. In the boys’ meet, Bergan took first with 171 points. Oakland-Craig was second with 110. Dylan Kucera was first in the discus at 160-4.75. Kucera also won the shot put at 55’ 4.50. Ethan Villwok, Shea Gossett and Jake Ridder went 1-2-3 in the triple jump. Villwok won the event in 39-8. Derek Smith won the 110m hurdles in 14.90. Smith also won the 300IM hurdles at 42.37.
In the girls meet, Tekamah-Herman was first with 169 points. Bergan was second with 86. The Knights’ Allie DeGroff won the discus at 110-9.50. Ali Dykman and Reagan Toelle went 1-2 in the high jump. Dykman won the event at 5’0”. Haley Kempf won the long jump at 15-8.50. Lilly Bojanski and Haley Kempf went 1-2 in the pole vault. Bojanski won the event at 7-0. Haley Kempf won the triple jump at 31-6.
