Bergan Boys Place 1st at Wisner & Other Results from Tuesday Competitions

The Archbishop Bergan girls and boys track and field teams competed in the Wisner-Pilger Invite yesterday.

The Bergan boys took first place with 103 points.  Wakefield was second with 95. For Bergan, Derek Smith won the 110m high hurdles in 15.50.  Dylan Kucera won the shot put at 52’ 9.50”.  Kucera also won the discus at 155’0”.

In the girls meet, Bergan finished third with 57 points.  Emerson-Hubbard/Pender won the meet with 86.  For the Lady Knights, the 4×100 relay of Lauren Baker, Kaley Kempf, Reagan Toelle and Allie DeGroff was first in 58.10.  Ali Dykman won the high jump at 5’2”.



Yesterday at Christensen Field, the Fremont High boys lost to Lincoln High, 5-2 and the Tiger girls lost to the Lady Links, 2-1.

In EMC soccer action at Krantz Field last night, Waverly beat Blair, 1-0 in overtime in boys action.  In the girls tournament, Blair beat Norris, 5-0.



In high school baseball at Sherman Field, last night, Lincoln Northeast defeated Archbishop Bergan, 7-0.

The Blair vs. Gretna baseball game at Vet’s Field last night was postponed, because of the rain.
