Fremont Moo

The Fremont Moo wrapped up a four-game series in Aberdeen, South Dakota, versus the Hub City Hot Shots, yesterday, with a doubleheader.  In game one, Fremont won, 8-0, while in game two, Hub City won 12-4.  Fremont is 10-18 on the season and returns home tonight to begin a three game series, versus the Hastings Sodbusters.  First pitch, tonight at Moller Field, is 6:35pm.

Legion

The First State Bank American Legion Seniors Baseball team plays in the Mike Peterson Tournament, in Lincoln, beginning, today, and running through Sunday.

The First State Bank junior legion hosts Norfolk in a doubleheader at Novak Field, beginning at 5:30, this evening.

Omaha Storm Chasers

Storm Chasers first baseman Ryan O’Hearn tallied two hits and drove in a run, however Iowa right fielderMark Zagunis and first baseman Trent Giambrone each homered while three Cubs relievers combined for five shutout innings in a 4-1 win over Omaha on Thursday night at Principal Park.

The two teams are set to meet for the final time in 2019, with the series finale set for 7:05pm CT at Principal Park.

Lincoln Saltdogs

Teodoro Martinez had two hits, an RBI and a run scored, but the ‘Dogs were swept for the first time in 2019 following a 7-4 loss to the Cleburne Railroaders at The Depot on Thursday night.

The ‘Dogs now head back home to open a three-game series at home against the Sioux City Explorers on Friday night. First pitch time on Friday is set for 7:05 p.m.
