The First State Bank American Legion Seniors went 4 and 2 at the Mike Peterson Tournament in Lincoln, this weekend. Yesterday, First State beat Lincoln East, 7-6, in nine innings and lost to Omaha Westside, 6-4. Highlighting the weekend was Austin Callahan. He hit four home runs over the three day tournament and connected on six home runs in eight games this past week. First State is 16-5 on the year and plays in the Elkhorn Tournament this Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
The Blair junior and senior legion baseball teams are back in action, tonight, at Omaha South. The juniors play at 5:30 and the seniors play at 8:00.
In Dodge County Baseball League action, yesterday, Scribner defeated Leigh/Schuyler, 5-3. Blair downed West Point, 6-5. Wahoo downed North Bend, 16-0 and Dodge defeated Arlington, 6-5.
The Fremont Moo dropped the final game of it’s three-game home series, versus the Hastings Sodbusters, 6-2, yesterday at Moller Field. Fremont is now 11-20 on the season and plays at Hastings in a single game, tonight, at 6:35.

Nick Tepesch tossed a complete-game shutout, and the ‘Dogs snapped a season-worst five-game losing streak with a 3-0 win over the Sioux City Explorers at Haymarket Park on Sunday evening.
The ‘Dogs now hit the road for a four-game road trip that includes three games in St. Paul on Monday-Wednesday and one game in Fargo on Thursday afternoon.
First pitch time from CHS Field on Monday is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
