Baseball Bytes: July 3rd – Fremont Moo, Local Legion & More


The First State Bank American Legion juniors baseball team plays a doubleheader at Columbus, tonight, at 5:30 and 7:30 at Pawnee Park.

The Blair junior and senior legion baseball teams defeated Waterloo-Valley, last night.  The juniors won 3-0 and the seniors won 20-2.  Both teams host Fort Calhoun, tonight at Vet’s Field, at 5:30 and 8pm.

Fremont Moo

The Fremont Moo begins a three-game road series at Pierre, versus the Trappers, tonight.  First pitch is 7:05pm.

Omaha Storm Chasers

Round Rock Express’ first basemen Taylor Jones recorded four runs batted in, including the game-winning three-run homerun in the bottom of the tenth inning at Dell Diamond.

The two teams face off for the fifth and final game of the series on Wednesday evening with the first pitch at 7:05pm CST.

Lincoln Saltdogs

After inclement weather on Monday, the ‘Dogs and St. Paul Saints split a resumed game and seven-inning game at CHS Field on Tuesday night.

Lincoln won game one, 4-2 and lost game two, 4-1.

The teams wrap up the three-game set with a rubber match on Wednesday. First pitch time is set for 6:05 p.m.
