The baseball game between Nebraska and Iowa at the Big Ten Tournament has been postponed to Friday due to stormy weather at TD Ameritrade Park on Thursday night.

That game will begin approximately one hour after the conclusion of the Ohio State-Maryland game, which will resume on Friday at 10 a.m. (CT). The game was suspended in the bottom of the eighth inning with Ohio State holding a 3-2 lead over Maryland.

“Day 2” tickets (Thursday) are good for the conclusion of Ohio State-Maryland as well as the Nebraska-Iowa game. “Day 3” tickets (Friday) will be valid beginning at 2 p.m. Gates open at 9 a.m. (CT) at TD Ameritrade Park.

Coverage of Husker baseball will be on Big Dog 98.9 FM and 1340 AM with the Husker Sports Network, beginning at 11am.


Trailing 8-4 in the eighth inning, a 58-minute lightning delay fueled a 10-9 comeback win over Seton Hall in the opening game of the BIG EAST Tournament on Thursday, May 23.

The win pushed the Bluejays to 36-11 on the season, while Seton Hall fell to 25-27 overall.

Creighton returns to action on Friday, May 24 in a winner’s bracket game.  Friday’s contest is scheduled to begin at 5:32 pm (CT).


The Omaha baseball program takes on No. 3 seed Oral Roberts in the second round of the winner’s bracket at The Summit League Baseball Championship Friday, May 24, at 11 a.m.

Omaha Storm Chasers

Omaha first baseman Samir Duenez and catcher Andrew Susac each mashed solo homers, however Iowa third baseman Robel Garcia dropped a go-ahead run-scoring single in the eighth inning to push the Cubs to a 3-2 victory over the Storm Chasers on Thursday evening at Werner Park.

The two teams are set to conclude their four-game set on Friday night at Werner Park, with first pitch scheduled for 7:05pm

Lincoln Saltdogs

Christian Ibarra walked three times and scored, Nick Tepesch allowed only two runs over six innings, and the Lincoln Saltdogs captured their 500th home victory with a 3-2, rain-shortened win over the Cleburne Railroaders in six innings at Haymarket Park on Thursday night.

The second game of the home-opening four-game series is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. on Friday night.
