Michigan and Vanderbilt will play in the 2019 College World Series finals, starting Monday, June 24. Both teams are 3-0 in Omaha so far, as each looks to become the 26th NCAA baseball national championship to go undefeated in College World Series play.
The First State Bank American Legion juniors baseball team went 1-and-2 in the Elkhorn Tournament, last weekend. The Juniors and seniors return to action tomorrow night, hosting Lincoln Pius X, at Novak Field.
The Fremont Moo were able to tally only five hits total in their two games of a Saturday doubleheader as they fell to the Western Nebraska Pioneers 2-1 and 6-2. Sunday’s action was rained out.
The Moo are off today, before beginning at three game road series at the Hub City Hotshots, tomorrow night at 6:35.

Omaha Storm Chasers
Sunday’s matchup between the Omaha Storm Chasers and the San Antonio Missions was suspended in the bottom of the fifth inning due to inclement weather with the score tied at 7-7.
The game will be resumed on Monday afternoon at 12:05pm CT, with Monday’s regularly scheduled game following approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the resumed game. Monday’s regularly scheduled game is scheduled to last seven innings.
Cody Regis hit two homers and drove in three runs, and the Saltdogs walked off the AirHogs, 6-5, after a throwing error from the catcher allowed Curt Smith to score in the 11th inning on Sunday.
The ‘Dogs have won a season-high four straight games and have a day off before heading to Cleburne for a quick three-game series Tuesday-Thursday. First pitch time from The Depot on Tuesday night is set for 7:06 p.m.
