Baseball Briefs: Saltdogs & Storm Chasers End Seasons

Omaha Storm Chasers

 Frank Schwindel set a new single-season franchise record for doubles with his 38th of the year, then delivered the game winning hit in the 10th inning as the Storm Chasers defeated New Orleans 6-5 in the final game of the season at The Shrine On Airline.

With the victory, the Storm Chasers finished their 50th season at 66-74.

Lincoln Saltdogs

The season finale game between the Lincoln Saltdogs and Chicago Dogs at Impact Field was rained out on Monday.

The Saltdogs finish their season 51-48.  It is the third straight winning season for Lincoln.  This is the second straight year in which the Saltdogs have finished after playing only 99 games.
