American Legion State Baseball Tournaments

The Nebraska American Legion State Baseball Tournaments are down to their final two days.  In the Class A Seniors American Division in Elkhorn, Millard West is the lone unbeaten.  In the National Division in Columbus, Omaha Burke is the lone unbeaten.  In the Class B Seniors Tournament in Wayne, Springfield is the lone unbeaten.  In the Class C Seniors Tournament in Albion, David City is the lone unbeaten.  The Class A Juniors tournament is at Omaha Burke, where Elkhorn South is the lone unbeaten team.  State Champions will be crowned tomorrow.

Omaha Storm Chasers

Omaha’s successful California road trip came to a close with a 5-3 setback against Fresno on Monday night at Chukchansi Park.

The Storm Chasers (49-58) will be off tonight before returning to Werner Park to face Las Vegas and open a 7-game homestand on Wednesday. Omaha’s starter is to be determined, while Las Vegas are expected to send RHP Chris Flexen (6-6, 4.24) to the mound.

Lincoln Saltdogs

The Lincoln Saltdogs start a six-game homestand tonight. First pitch against the Winnipeg Goldeyes is at 6:45 PM.
