FREMONT – With funeral services on the list of gatherings that must be limited to 10 persons or less, Dugan Funeral Chapel and Cremation Services has introduced a streaming service option for the families it continues to serve during this time.
“To enable families and friends to participate in the rituals that are most important to them, we have live high-definition streaming services,” according to Dugan Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services. “This service is offered free of charge, and will allow virtual attendance for anyone who clicks on a provided link.”
Bill Dugan said, “We realize there is a new challenge facing families who have lost a loved one. Limiting who can attend a gathering is difficult. The hope is that our free video streaming service will help to ease some of that burden.”
Dugan Funeral Chapel & Cremation will continue to ask that funeral and memorial services be kept to the mandated maximum of ten persons.
According to the CDC, there is no known risk associated with being in the same room, at a funeral or visitation service, with the body of someone who died as a result of confirmed or suspected COVID-19. Families may choose either burial or cremation as usual.
The staff remains vigilant about cleaning the facilities and ensuring all employees are following recommended healthy habits, such as staying home when sick, hand hygiene, and covering coughs and sneezes.
