COLUMBUS – A Winter Storm Watch will go into effect for the Columbus are at 1 a.m.
The National Weather Service says localized amounts of snow could hit 8 inches for Platte, Butler, Colfax, Stanton, Thurston, Cuming, and Seward Counties. Consistent snow fall should land in the 3 to 5 inch range, says the NWS.
Ice and sleet could also accumulate, and predicted blowing snow has upgraded the storm to blizzard conditions.
The Winter Storm Wacth is in effect from 1 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday.
