Wahoo Public Schools: No School Thursday, Tournament Tickets Will Be Refunded

WAHOO – In response to the modification of the State Boys Basketball Tournament, Wahoo Public Schools has notified parents and students of a few changes to the rest of the school week.

Brandon Lavaley, Superintendent of Wahoo Public Schools, announced today that Wahoo Public Schools will not be in session on Thursday, March 12th. School will be in session on Friday, March 13th.

Additonally, the school will refund any tickets to the Boys State Tournament that were purchased at the Wahoo High office. People may bring those tickets back to the point of purchase and receive a full refund. Lavaley said that anyone who purchased tickets online will be fully refunded by the NSAA.

The Wahoo boys’ team will still be heading to the State Tournament, and immediate family members who are on the school’s “pass list” will be admitted. Officials at the game will verify that attendees are on that list before allowing them to purchase a separate ticket for entry at the game venue doors.

Further information is expected from the NSAA this afternoon.
