LINCOLN – A 41-year old Wahoo man was arrested Tuesday afternoon in Lincoln on suspicion of distributing child pornography.
Investigators with the Nebraska State Patrol Technical Crimes Division, working with the Wahoo Police Department and Saunders County Sheriff’s Office, arrested William Sloup without incident on ten charges of distribution of child pornography.
The arrest followed an investigation that started with a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
A State Patrol release said that investigators discovered several sexully explicit images involving children on Sloup’s phone. Sloup was placed in Saunders County jail and faces 10 counts of distribution of visual depiction of sexually explicit conduct, each a Class 1D felony.
A conviction on all counts could land Sloup between 30 and 500 years. The investigation remains ongoing.
