Two Businesses Experience Overnight Break-Ins

FREMONT – Two businesses found themselves the victims of unlawful entry in the overnight hours between Thursday and Friday, with damage to each business ranging between $500 and $1000.

Fremont Police responded to the first incident at 1:10AM when an intrusion alarm at a business in the 2000 block of north Bell Street was triggered. Officers responding to the business observed a broken window pane on one of the doors to the business.  No entry was actually made into the business, making this a criminal mischief incident, rather than breaking & entering or burglary.  Damage to the window is estimated at $500.00.

Just five minutes later, a burglary was reported in the 200 block of north Main Street.  An officer checking businesses in the area observed that doors to two different office spaces appeared to have been forcibly opened; the doors were obviously damaged.  The spaces were checked and while it appeared the offices were rummaged through, nothing was reported missing.  Damage to the doors is estimated at just over $1,000.00.
