Traffic Light Repairs on Broad Street to Begin June 10

FREMONT – Two sets of traffic lights along Broad Street are scheduled for repairs this month, with the first project slated to get underway next Monday.

The City of Fremont and Vierregger Electric Company will start construction on the first site on Monday, June 10, 2019. This work will require temporary closures during the weekdays at times throughout the project. If you are within the active work zone limits, parking may be limited and traffic flow may be slowed.

After the 9th & Broad lights, the crews will move north to 16th and Broad to work on the lights at that intersection.

Access to you or your home may at times be impaired during construction. The Public Works Department will do their best to work with city services and the construction company to keep any inconveniences to the public at a minimum.

In other Public Works projects, the city will begin a Pavement Rehab project on Wednesday, June 5th at the intersection of Iowa and Seaton Streets in the Washington  Heights neighborhood.

Lastly, Johnson Road is closed for utility work from Morningside Road to First Street, and will remain closed for approximately 2 weeks. Please use an alternate route.

Please inform the Public Works Department if you have any needs that require access through any project area at 402-727-2638.
