Tigers Take 1st Place at HAC Track & Field

The Fremont High Tigers hosted the HAC Track and Field Championships at Appleget Field, yesterday, at Fremont High School.

In the boys’ meet, Fremont took first place with 151 points.  Lincoln Southwest was second with 118.  For the Tigers, Jake Sellon won the pole vault, clearing 16’0”.  Bergan Hofer won the shot put at 54’ 5.5”.  Ross McMahon won the high jump at 6’2”.  The Tiger 4×800 relay of Wes Ferguson, Manny Harmon, Edmund England and Chase Cate took first in 8:10.94.  Lucas Arps and Caelin Reeh went 1-2 in the 400m dash.  Arps finished in a time of 50.76.  Jose Gonzalez won the 3200m run in 9:30.30.  Wes Ferguson won the 800m run in 1:58.00.

In the girls meet, Lincoln Southwest won the team title with 229.3 points.  Fremont was fifth with 37.  Mara Hemmer was Fremont’s top placer, taking second in the 3200m run at 11:50.75.
