Thieves Strike Two Fremont Businesses on Tuesday

FREMONT – Two high dollar thefts from Fremont area businesses were reported on Tuesday, resulting in losses totalling nearly $7,000.

At approximately 3:30AM on Tuesday, a burglary was reported at a business in the 300 block of north Main Street.  A window was broken out in the rear of the shop and a person or persons climbed in through the opening. Reported stolen from the business were two pieces of paint spraying equipment.  Damage to the rear window is estimated at $50.00, and the dollar value of the stolen paint sprayers is estimated at approximately $1,700.00.

A few hours later, around 10:30AM, a stolen vehicle complaint was made at a business in the 200 block of west 6th Street.  Reported stolen was a 1976 Chevrolet dump truck bearing Nebraska commercial license plate 5-8056A.  The vehicle was last seen parked at the business on Monday 03/11/2019 between 5pm and 6pm.  The value of the truck is estimated at $5,000.00.
