FREMONT – Keene Memorial Library, in collaboration with the Fremont Housing Authority, will be hosting a holiday giving event from December 1st through 13th.
The Library’s giving event, called Give-a-Hand, igives the community a chance to help provide a nice holiday gift to less fortunate adult and elderly members of our community who may not get to experience a family holiday this year.
“We believe that by giving small wishlist items, we can make a big impact in allowing the community to have a warmer holiday this year,” said Elisa Cruz, Circulation Manager & Librarian at the Keene Memorial Library.
Those who wish to participate can come to the library to choose a mitten off the Library’s display board. Each mitten will have up to three wish list items from an adult/elderly individual in our community. When the item(s) are purchased, they can be dropped off, unwrapped, back at the library. The mitten should be returned with the gifts to match the gifts to their recipients. “We hope to have at least one gift item purchased per mitten,” said Cruz.
