Suspicious Man Arrested After Falling Asleep in His Car

FREMONT – A man sitting in his vehicle for several hours Friday morning aroused neighborhood suspicions.

Around 10:30AM, officers were dispatched to the 500 block of east 14th Street to investigate a suspicious person complaint.  Someone in the neighborhood reported that a man had been sitting in a vehicle for several hours with no apparent reason to be in the area.  Responding officers found the vehicle and upon approach saw a male sleeping the vehicle.

Officers roused the man, and also noted the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. The man, identified as Isaac D. Marcum, 18, of Fremont, also had paraphernalia in his possession. Officers seized 3 plastic baggies containing marijuana, as well as a digital scale.  Marcum was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver as well as Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
