SK8 Fremont Invites Public Input on Potential New Skate Park

FREMONT – SK8 Fremont, a community organization that promotes and encourages skateboarding as a sport in Fremont, wants public input on the possibility of a new skate park.

SK8 Fremont is the same group that worked to get the current skate park installed at Miller Park in 2003, where many people enjoy skateboarding and roller blading. The skate park at Miller is outdated, and the group would like to explore other opportunities or locations for a new park. The locations marked with blue dots on the below map are existing parks where the group would like to consider placing the new skate park.

SK8 Fremont will host a community meeting to receive public input and discuss the possibilities of a new skate park in Fremont.  This will be an informational meeting only, but the group is hoping to get community feedback.  Several park designs and drawings will be available for viewing.

The meeting will be an open house with no formal presentation, and the public is encouraged to stop by and share their thoughts with members of SK8 Fremont.

The meeting will be held at Christensen Field’s meeting room on Thursday, May 9th from 7PM to 9PM.
