Single-Car Collision Results in Death

FREMONT – On Wednesday, around 3:40 p.m., first responders were dispatched to a single-vehicle personal injury collision at the intersection of 16th and Main Streets.

It was reported that Rodney D. Stonehocker, 60, of Fremont was traveling north on Main Street and proceeded through a four-way stop. He then struck a tree on the east side of the street across from the Fremont Meat Market, causing the air bag to deploy.

Stonehocker was transported to Fremont Health where he was later pronounced deceased.
