In the early morning hours of Saturday, just before 2AM, Fremont Police officers stopped a vehicle in the 2100 block of East Military Ave after noticing that the car wasn’t using its headlights. Saturday’s daylight hours were fairly uneventful, but after midnight, police made two more arrests for DUIs.  Just before 2AM on Sunday morning, police observed a vehicle heading the wrong way down a one way street. Police subsequently stopped the vehicle in the 600 block of North Platte Ave.  Police observed an open container in the vehicle and the driver, 33 year old Lindsay Winter, refused to take a breathalyzer test. She was subsequently arrested for DUI-3rd Offense, Refusal to submit to a Chemical Test, Refusal to submit to a Preliminary Breath Test (PBT), Open Container, and Driving the wrong way on a one way street.

About 45 minutes later, a marked police vehicle was nearly hit by an intoxicated driver who ran a red light.  Police made contact with that driver, stopping the vehicle near 16th and Bell.  The driver, 25 year old Jacob Butler, was subsequently arrested for DUI and Violating a Traffic Signal.

Hours later, around 5AM Sunday, Fremont Police officers were dispatched to the 2400 block of North Yager, after receiving a call alerting them to an unresponsive male in the area.  On the scene, police were able to rouse what turned out to be an inebriated teenager, who had the odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his person.  He was subsequently cited and released for Minor in Possession of Alcohol.
