FREMONT – Several traffic stops escalated into more serious citations for a few Fremont drivers this weekend.
On Friday, March 30th at 3:15PM Eric R. Hager, 44, of Fremont was cited for numerous offenses following a traffic stop in the 1600 block of north Somers Avenue. Hager was stopped after he was observed operating a motor vehicle in excess of the posted speed limit. During the stop it was noted Hager’s vehicle displayed plates and insurance for a different vehicle. Hager was cited for No Proof of Insurance, No Valid Registration, and Fictitious Plates and his vehicle was impounded. While Hager was retrieving personal items from his vehicle he was observed holding a plastic container containing Marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Hager was additionally cited for Possession of Marijuana less than an Ounce and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Later on Friday, around 11:00PM Vanessa S. Rojas, 37, of Fremont was arrested following a traffic stop in the 1500 block of north Colson Avenue. Rojas was stopped after she was observed operating a motor vehicle and driving erratically. Rojas showed signs of impairment consistent with the consumption of alcoholic beverages. Following a DUI investigation, she was arrested and charged with Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, Refusal to submit to a Breath Test, Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test, and Driving left of Center.
A few hours later, on Saturday about 1:00AM Cory A. Hauck, 28, of Fremont was arrested following a traffic stop in the 1700 block of north Bell Street. Hauck was stopped after he was observed operating a motor vehicle with no working taillights. During the stop it was leaned Hauck was driving with a suspended for which he had been charged before. Hauck was arrested for Driving during Suspension.
