FREMONT – Many of us are familiar with the Salvation Army’s Angel Trees – displayed in area businesses in November and December, bearing the wish lists of children and families in need during the holiday season. In addition to this program, the Salvation Army also provides Christmas food boxes to area families. If your family, or a family you know is in need, the time to sign up for Christmas assistance is now.
Now through November 8th, Dodge and Burt county families who are in need of Christmas Assistance will have the opportunity to sign up for both the Christmas Food Box and the Salvation Army’s “Angel Tree” programs. The Christmas Food Box provides everything a family would need for Christmas dinner, and the Angel Tree program helps families with Christmas gifts for children under 12 years old.
Applicants should come to the Fremont Salvation Army location at 707 North I street, through Thursday, 11/7, between the hours of 9AM to 11:30AM or 1:30PM to 4:00 PM. Sign up on Friday, 11/8, will be available from 1:30PM to 4PM only.
