FREMONT – RTG Medical and its employees raised over $61,000 for local nonprofits.
The donation is part of the company’s 2018 Community Partnership Program. The nonprofits included the Nebraska and Dodge County Humane Societies, Wreaths Across America, Fremont Family YMCA, and Special Olympics Nebraska and Fremont teams.
The partnership program is employee-driven. Last year RTG Medical donated nearly $30,000 to local nonprofits in the form of covering costs for Special Olympic athletes’ uniforms, delivering medical supplies to the Nebraska Humane Society, and also by sponsoring a swim program with the YMCA for every first grader in the Fremont community. Marketing and Brand Ambassador Veronica Barrientos says giving their employees the chance to be involved in the community and to give back to local nonprofits is important to RTG Medical.
“Giving and volunteering are such big parts of our culture at RTG. We are a medical staff agency, so it’s tough,” said Barrientos. “A lot of our employees are on the phone with their travelers and the nurses on a daily basis. So to provide a way to get out of the office and to be involved in the community is what we strive to do with our Community Partnership Program.”
