Red Cross Offering Disaster Response Training Sessions

These sessions cover a variety disaster response services, and they’re open to anyone interested in helping the Red Cross carry out its mission.

“When the recent flooding occurred in our region, we had so many people wanting to volunteer, and we could not have had the response we did without the work of hundreds of volunteers,” said Jill Orton, Region Executive of the American Red Cross of Kansas, Nebraska and Southwest Iowa. “The training we’re offering will prepare people to be able to provide key services so the next time a disaster occurs, more volunteers can immediately step in and help those in need.”
