The Fremont area has been anticipating bringing a back some old school traditions in the opening in a new drive in movie theater. Quasar Drive In broke ground Saturday, March 21st.
With blue skies and a bit windy the ground breaking was a family affair as well as an opportunity to show off a few classic cars to give a flashback of the glory days of drive in movie theaters.
With hopes to open in mid July, Karls’ talked about showing retro films and classics to get the Quasar started. Currently some newer films are on hold with movie theaters closed to practice social distancing and in some case direct health action taken by cities and states. Some movies have also moved up their release date to streaming services to make them more available to the public without the theater closures.
Whether retro-classics or new release features the community is ready to enjoy a night at Quasar Drive In Theater off of Highway 36.
