FREMONT – Fremont Police officers arrested one man yesterday afternoon when a wellness check ended up revealing dangerous drugs on the premises.
Tuesday afternoon, police were dispatched to a home in the 300 block of north Bell Street to check on the welfare of a child who was reportedly injured. While at the residence, police had contact with the child’s father and discovered a glass bong with white residue in his possession. This residue was consistent with the appearance of methamphetamine, and the man, George T. Plofkin, 38, of Fremont, was placed under arrest on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police also investigated the child’s reported injury. It was determined that this injury was not the result of any abuse or neglect.
