Police Arrest One After Suspicious Person Report

FREMONT – The Fremont Police department responded to a late night report of suspicious activity that resulted in one arrest.

Just after midnight in the overnight Monday-Tuesday hours, police received a report that a person was lingering in his vehicle in an empty or mostly empty parking lot in the 2300 block of east 23rd street. Police arrived and had contact with Michael J. Rengstorf, 30, of Lincoln, NE.

After a short investigation by the responding officers, Rengstorf was arrested on multiple charges of suspicion of theft by receiving stolen property, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
