Police Arrest Four on Trespass, Assault and Disorderly Conduct Charges

FREMONT – Police made four arrests connected to various inappropriate conduct incidents on Tuesday, including assault and trespassing.

The first incident occured just before 1PM, when police placed Isaac D. Marcum, 20, of Fremont under arrest on suspicion of 1st Degree Criminal Trespassing. Marcum repeatedly entered a residence in the 1000 block of north Broad Street after having been previously notified that he was not welcome there.

A few hours later, police responded to a complaint of threats and intimidating conduct in progress at a residence in the 1000 block of east 9th street. At the residence, police observed Abel G. Ortiz, 28, of Fremont behaving in an intoxicated manner, becoming belligerent and threatening other persons in the residence. Ortiz repeatedly refused officers’ requests to calm down, and he was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct.  During the arrest process, he refused to comply with officers’ requests to place his hands behind his back and initiated a struggle, refusing to get into a patrol cruiser.  Officers were eventually able to subdue Ortiz, and he was then taken into custody. He will also face charges of resisting arrest.

Just before 8PM, police responded to their second trespassing complaint of the day. Owners of a home in the 1000 block of east 10th street called police to report and unwanted and unwelcome person on their property who refused to leave. Police arrived and spoke to Hilary N. Sayers, 26, of Fremont. Sayers refused the homeowners’ request to leave, and refused police orders to leave the property – she became argumentative with officers and publicly belligerent, resulting in her arrest. Sayers will face charges of Disorderly Conduct and 2nd Degree Criminal Trespassing.

The final arrest was made at 10:30PM, when police responded to the scene of an assault in the 2000 block of north Keene Avenue. An argument between acquaintances boiled over into violence, when one party struck the other. Police interviewed persons at the scene, and as a result Scott P. Mittura, 49, of Fremont was arrested on suspicion of 3rd Degree Assault.
