Over 100 Arrests made in Dodge County in January

FREMONT – The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office have released their statistics for January, 2018.

Deputies made 138 arrests last month. One arrest was made for the crimes of Burglary, Stolen Property, Bad Checks/Fraud, Disorderly Conduct, Vandalism, and Offense Against Family/Children. Three arrests were made for Misdemeanor Assault, seven for Weapons, eight for Driving during Suspension/Revocation and nine for Driving under the Influence. Deputies with the sheriff’s office also made 12 arrests for liquor law violations, 27 for crimes involving drugs, and 66 arrests for other crimes.

The sheriff’s office also dealt with one case involving the crime of rape as well as one for burglary. There were two involving the offense of Felony Theft and three for Misdemeanor Theft and Vandalism.

Deputies also handed out 50 traffic citations and 157 warnings. They served 43 equipment warnings and 38 warrants. They dealt with 32 criminal complaints and assisted 25 motorists.

The sheriff’s office also responded to 12 accidents, all involving property damage. Some of the contributing circumstances to the accidents were failure to yield to right of way, disregarding traffic signs, speeding, swerving, weather conditions, and visibility being obstructed.
