COLUMBUS – One person was transported to the hospital after a collision at 33rd Avenue and 8th Street.
Police reports say a 62-year-old man was facing eastbound at the intersection’s stoplight and proceeded across the intersection when the light turned green, he told police.
An 85-year-old man driving his car northbound, told police his light turned red as he was approaching the intersection, before he collided with the passenger side of the other vehicle, says police reports.
The 85-year-old man was cited for the incident, and the 62-year-old man was transported to the hospital, by Columbus Fire and Rescue, says reports. Reports say both vehicles were totaled.
The accident occurred at 4:15 p.m. on Friday, says the report.
