FREMONT – Check your numbers, people – someone purchased a Nebraska Lottery ticket worth one million dollars at a Fremont convenience store for yesterday’s drawing.
For Wednesday’s Powerball drawing, someone purchased a ticket at the Fremont Hy-Vee Gas location worth one million dollars, matching all of the “white ball” numbers in the drawing, but not matching the Powerball.
The ticket is still unclaimed, according to Nebraska Lottery spokesperson Neil Watson. “They do have 180 days after the drawing to come forward. For a prize of this size, the winner will have to come to the Lottery headquarters in Lincoln,” said Watson.
The numbers from Wednesday’s Powerball drawing were: 6-10-21-35-46 with a powerball of 23. This one million dollar ticket matches those first five numbers. After taxes are taken out, the winner stands to walk away with over $717,000.
The retailer stands to win a little, too. On Friday, March 8 at 10AM, the Nebraska Lottery will present Hy-Vee Gas in Fremont with a $10,000 bonus for selling that million dollar Powerball ticket. Nebraska Lottery retailers receive a “High Prize Seller’s Bonus” for selling winning high-tier Scratch and Lotto tickets. This bonus is always 1% of the prize won.
