The National Weather Service is predicting wind speeds over 75 miles per hour on Friday evening.
The NWS says strait line winds can knock over semi-trucks, trees, and power lines.
When winds hit severe speeds, the NWS says to stay indoors, avoid trees, power lines, as well as objects that can be blow around, and if driving, to slow down and keep both hands on the wheel.
If a power line is knocked over, or is loose on the ground, power officials ask residents to call their local power provider, so that professionals can repair the damaged line. Do not approach a downed power line.
