NORTH BEND – A few North Bend churches are once again sponsoring a Christmas Blessings Store.
The United Presbyterian Church, St. Charles Catholic Church, and St. Peters Lutheran Church are the sponsors for the Christmas Blessing Store this year. One of the organizers for the event Wendi Emanuel says it’s like a big garage sale, but without the exchange of money.
“It’s like a big garage sale. People can come and donate things they don’t need any longer on Friday and Saturday,” said Emanuel. “And then Sunday is our shopping day. People can come and shop for free. We don’t charge for anything that is there.”
Emanuel adds people interested in stopping by the Christmas Blessings Store can expect to see many different items.
“A lot of the things we get are toys and house decor items,” said Emanuel. “We get kitchen things, such as utensils or dishes. We get a lot of clothes, coats, books, jewelry. Pretty much anything someone would have at a garage sale would be there.”
People can still donate items to the Christmas Blessings Store. Any donated items can be dropped off at the North Bend City Auditorium at 741 Main Street. Items can be dropped off between 4-8 p.m. on Friday, or from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. The Christmas Blessings Store will open its doors for shoppers from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday.
