No Days Off For FPD Over Labor Day Weekend

FREMONT – The Fremont Police department had its hands full this weekend with multiple arrests and citations throughout the city over the three day break.

On Saturday 09/01/2018 at approximately 11:40AM David W. Nelms, 30, of Fremont was cited on suspicion of driving during suspension and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.  This followed a car versus utility pole collision in the 2500 block of Oregon Avenue.  Estimated damage to the utility pole is $2000.00.

On Saturday 09/01/2018 at approximately 11:30PM Roger L. Anderson, 61, of Bellevue was arrested on suspicion of Terroristic Threats and Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony following a disturbance in the 2400 block of north Yager Road.  Anderson and an acquaintance were involved in a verbal argument and when bystanders attempted to intervene Anderson allegedly displayed a handgun and the bystanders felt threatened.

On Sunday 09/02/2018 at approximately 6:20PM Andrew R. Christensen, 29, of Fremont was arrested on suspicion of theft by shoplifting, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest following a complaint at a business in the 200 block of west 23rd Street.  Christensen is accused of stealing alcoholic beverages, consuming them in public against officers’ instructions to stop and then resisting officers’ efforts to place him into custody.

On Monday 09/03/2018 at approximately 1:30AM Carl O. Nolte, 37, of Fremont was cited on suspicion of criminal mischief following a disturbance complaint at a residence on south Logan Street.  Nolte is accused of causing damage to an acquaintance’s car following a verbal argument. Damage to the car is estimated at $1000.00.
