Multiple Fremont Residents Report Car Windows Being Broken

FREMONT – Fremont Police received multiple reports involving unknown parties breaking car windows in the community on Tuesday.

According to Lt. Ed Watts with the Fremont Police Department, at 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday a criminal mischief complaint was received from the 400 block of W. 4th Street. The victim reported her vehicle was parked on the street, and an unknown person broke out the driver’s window. Nothing was reported missing from the vehicle. The damage was estimated at $200.

Another complaint was received from the 1600 block of N. Colson Avenue at 8 a.m. The victim reported her vehicle was parked outside of her residence and an unknown person broke out both driver side windows. The damage was estimated to be $250, and nothing was reported stolen from the vehicle.

At approximately 12:30 p.m. another criminal mischief complaint was received, this time from the 500 block of W. 6th Street. The victim reported her car was parked outside when someone broke out the driver’s window. The victim also reported there were two small dents on both doors on the driver’s side, possibly from projectiles striking the car. Nothing was reported stolen from inside the vehicle and the damage was estimated at $800.

Finally at 1 p.m. a criminal mischief report came from the 1600 block of W. Dakota Street. The victim reported their car was parked outside when someone broke out the driver’s window. This victim also reported a small dent in the door, possibly from a projectile. The damage was estimated at $400. Nothing was reported missing.
