Military Ave Reopened, Diers Parkway to Begin Pavement Rehab

FREMONT – The City announced this morning that the pavement rehabilitation project on Military Avenue is complete and the street has reopened.

“We are pleased to announce that the project has been completed on time,” said the City in a press release, “and Military Avenue is open.” The popular thoroughfare opens just in time for many key July events – the 4th of July “Avenue of Flags,” coming up in a few days, and the convoy bringing a rare 9/11 memorial display into Fremont for John C Fremont Days next weekend.

Meanwhile, the city is preparing for its next pavement project, this time in the 23rd street business district. Diers Parkway, between St. Patrick’s Church and 23rd street, will have repaving crews on the scene beginning tomorrow, July 2nd.
