Tuesday, more than 500 Midland University students hit the streets in the Fremont area for Midland Mission Day. A day of service, and a chance to give back to the community, and say thank you, to a city that welcomes students and gives so much to Midland. About 60 of those students were at Howard elementary yesterday to help beautify their school grounds. Howard Elementary Principal Mindy Chandler talked about how much of an impact the students have on the kids.
Midland Sophmore Volleyball player, Myranda Starner took time to help out yesterday.
Midland Sophmore football player, Adrian Kellogg talked about his experience yesterday.
This is the 10th year for the event. The day started with a kickoff event at Midland, with GFDC Executive Director Garry Clark, giving a presentation on, A Life of Service. The students helped out at more than 16 different locations around the Fremont area Tuesday.
