Girls’ State Basketball Continues Today & Saturday

LINCOLN – Yesterday’s day one at Girls State Basketball was one thriller after another, starting with Bergan’s hard-fought win against Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family and a Wahoo Neumann vs. North Bend Central game that went into overtime before the Cavaliers clinched the win. Wahoo High School also flexed their muscles yesterday in a strong performance against Adams Central, winning that game 37-24.

After these wins yesterday, Bergan, Wahoo High School and Wahoo Bishop Neumann will move on to semifinal play today.


Class D1: Bergan vs. Elkhorn Valley – 9am at the Devaney- (Airtime:  8:55am)- Broadcast on Big Dog 98.9 and 1340. (LISTEN ONLINE)

Depending on the performances today, we’ll have either championship or consolations games on Saturday. That potential schedule is:

  • Class C1- State Championship- 9am- Pinnacle Bank Arena- (Airtime:  8:45am)
  • Class C1- Consolation Game- 11am- Lincoln Southeast- (Airtime:  10:45am)
  • Class D1- State Championship- 11am- Pinnacle Bank Arena- (Airtime:  10:45am)
  • Class D1- Consolation Game- 1pm-  Lincoln Southeast- (Airtime:  12:45pm)
